Police have launched a search for 31-year-old British artist Sarah Cunningham, who has been reported missing after she vanished from Camden in the early hours of Saturday morning, November 2, 2024. Cunningham was last seen on Jamestown Road at around 3 a.m., and there has been no contact with her since.
Described as being 5ft 3in tall, Sarah was last seen wearing a black top, black skirt, and black Converse trainers. The Metropolitan Police, who are leading the investigation, have urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them. They posted on X: “Anyone who sees her or has any information is asked to call 101 and give ref: CAD 2349/02Nov.”
Sarah is known to have links to both Camden and Wandsworth. Her boyfriend, Jack Brown, has taken to social media to plead for any information that could help locate her. In his post on Facebook, he wrote: “My girlfriend Sarah Cunningham has been missing in Camden since 2:30 am this morning. She was last seen leaving an apartment building on Jamestown Road. Police have been notified and she has been reported as officially missing. If anyone has any information on her whereabouts or has seen or heard anything then please let myself or the police know.”
Cunningham’s artistic work has gained significant recognition, including a recent exhibition at the Lisson Gallery from June to July. The gallery, which has also showcased her work in Los Angeles, has joined the appeal for information, posting on Instagram: “We ask anyone who might have seen or heard anything, or might have any information on Sarah’s whereabouts, to please urgently contact us or the Metropolitan Police on 101. We are in touch with her family and the police (crime ref: 5483).
The gallery described Cunningham’s art as exploring complex movements and the dynamic interplay between vertical and horizontal planes, often challenging perceptions of orientation and space.
