An investigation into a burglary at a house in Greenhithe has resulted in two people being charged with offences

Vinnie Winter, 20, of Kingston Road, Ilford, London, and a 17 year old boy who cannot be named due to his age, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 31 October 2024.

The hearing was held following a burglary at a property in Abbey Road, Greenhithe, which happened on Monday 9 September.

During the incident two vehicles were stolen along with a woman’s handbag, which contained her bank cards. A third vehicle at the same address was also broken into and tools stolen.

Following enquiries one of the vehicles was tracked to Ilford, with the second vehicle later recovered in Swanscombe.

Officers carried out various enquiries including reviewing CCTV and the use of the stolen bank cards and on Wednesday 30 October they arrested and later charged the two suspects .

Winter has been charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and fraud, while the 17 year old boy was charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

Following their court appearance Winter was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 29 November.
