Teenage Boy Dies After Stabbing in Woolwich

A teenage boy has tragically died after being stabbed in Woolwich this evening. The incident took place on Eglinton Road, near Ripon Road, at approximately 6:35 p.m.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they found a boy suffering from stab wounds. Despite their efforts, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed, and the community is in shock as police launch an investigation into the fatal attack. No arrests have been made yet, and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were called at approximately 18:35hrs on Sunday, 22 September to reports of a disturbance on Eglinton Road, SE18.

Local authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they work to identify those responsible for the boy’s death.
