An explosion occurred in the early hours of the morning at Faanoos Restaurant on Chiswick High Road, London. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 1am on September 21, 2024, after reports of an explosion and a strong smell of gas.

Part of the High Road east of Acton Lane has been cordoned off, leading to significant disruption to bus services and normal traffic flow in the area. Despite the scale of the damage to the restaurant, it has been confirmed that there have been no injuries.

Forensic teams and investigators from both the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade are currently on site, examining the cause of the explosion. A joint investigation has been launched due to concerns over the extent of the damage and the potential cause, which may involve a gas leak.

The public is advised to avoid the area while investigations continue, and local residents and businesses are urged to follow updates from the authorities regarding road closures and safety precautions.
