An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder following the deaths of three people in a Luton tower block. Nicholas Prosper, of Leabank, was arrested on Friday morning after the bodies of a woman and two teenagers were discovered in a flat in the Marsh Farm area.
The victims are believed to be Juliana Prosper, 48, and her two children, Kyle Prosper, 16, and Giselle Prosper, 13. Formal identification has yet to take place, but Bedfordshire Police have informed the next of kin, who are being supported by specialist officers.
Prosper has also been charged with multiple firearm offences and is due to appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court on 16 September.
Officers were called to the Leabank block of flats at around 05:30 BST on Friday, where they found the three individuals with fatal injuries. A firearm was recovered during a search of the surrounding area.
Detective Superintendent Rob Hall of the major crime unit expressed deep sorrow, saying, “Our thoughts are with the three people who tragically lost their lives and their loved ones. This is an unimaginably difficult time for the family.”
The investigation is ongoing, and officers will remain at the scene in Leabank as they continue to gather evidence.
