A man who was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries following a digger accident in Snodland has tragically died. The incident occurred on September 2 in a field off Ladds Lane, where a digger tipped over, causing severe injuries to the man.
Emergency services, including police, ambulance, and fire crews, were called to the scene around 4 PM, where the man was treated before being airlifted to the hospital. Despite the efforts of medical staff, it has been confirmed that the man later succumbed to his injuries.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service alerted police to the incident, and a major emergency response followed. The rural route near Ladds Lane was temporarily closed to traffic while authorities attended the scene.
A spokeswoman for the police said: "Enquiries into the incident are ongoing in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive with a view to providing a report for the coroner."
The tragic accident is now under investigation, and further details are expected to be provided once the report is completed.
