South Wales Police have launched a murder investigation after the death of a 27-year-old man in Swansea. The victim, who was from the Waun Wen area, was found with severe injuries on Cwm Road in Hafod shortly after midday on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Despite efforts to save him, the man tragically succumbed to his injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
In connection with the incident, four men from different parts of Swansea have been arrested and are currently in police custody. The arrested individuals include:
- A 31-year-old man from Waun Wen
- A 49-year-old man from Gendros
- A 37-year-old man from Strand
- A 39-year-old man from Morriston
As part of the ongoing investigation, Cwm Road remains closed while officers continue their enquiries.
Detective Superintendent Paul Raikes, who is leading the investigation, thanked the public for their cooperation and appealed for witnesses to come forward. "We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have dashcam footage from New Cut Road between 11:50 am and 12:00 pm yesterday," he stated.
