Detectives are appealing for information following a violent aggravated burglary in Draperstown on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. in the Glenelly Villas area when two men forcibly entered a property. One of the intruders was reportedly armed with wooden bats.
During the break-in, a male occupant in his 20s was violently assaulted, resulting in serious injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He sustained multiple cracked teeth and a laceration to the left side of his lip, highlighting the severity of the attack.
Detective Sergeant Robinson, who is leading the investigation, has urged anyone with information to come forward. He stated, “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to contact detectives.”
