Man Hospitalised After Being Struck by Metropolitan Police Van in North London

A man has been hospitalized after being struck by a Metropolitan Police van on Turnpike Lane, near the junction of Alexandra Road, on Friday, September 6. The collision occurred at approximately 2:30 PM, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

The pedestrian was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where his injuries have since been confirmed as non-life-threatening. As of this morning, the Metropolitan Police stated that no officers involved in the incident required medical attention.

According to reports, the police van was responding to an ongoing incident at the time of the collision. A section of Turnpike Lane was cordoned off following the crash, with police officers standing guard. A blue sign indicating “Police Collision” was visible at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details have been released at this time.
