Police are investigating a serious incident that took place in Manchester’s Gay Village area early this morning. At approximately 1:30am, a 21-year-old male victim was reported to have met an unknown man in the area. Later that night, the victim lost consciousness and awoke the following morning in his hotel room with no memory of the events that transpired.
Investigators have obtained CCTV footage showing the victim being escorted to his hotel room by an unidentified male, who is now believed to be the alleged offender. The police have released an image of the man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. Members of the public are urged to carefully study the image and contact the authorities if they have any information that could aid the investigation.
A spokesperson for the Greater Manchester Police stated, “We are working hard to identify and apprehend the individual involved in this incident. We ask anyone with relevant information to come forward as soon as possible.
