Fisher-Price has issued an urgent recall for its “Little People Mickey & Friends Figure Pack” after concerns were raised about a potential choking hazard. The recall specifically targets the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures included in the set, which are part of model number HPJ88, with barcode 0194735160594.
The affected products were manufactured in China and feature plastic figurines of popular Disney characters. While the entire pack includes multiple characters, only the Donald and Daisy Duck figures are subject to the recall.
The Donald Duck figure, which stands approximately 7 centimetres tall, is characterized by a blue shirt with thin yellow stripes, a blue and black hat, and a red bow tie. The Daisy Duck figure is of similar height and wears a light purple shirt, turquoise necklace and bracelet, pink shoes, and a pink hair bow. Both figures have outstretched arms.
According to safety regulators, the product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011. The primary concern is that a young child could potentially place the detached head of the figure in their mouth, leading to a choking hazard.
In response to these safety concerns, Fisher-Price has taken swift action by recalling the product from end users. Parents and caregivers are strongly advised to immediately stop using the Donald and Daisy Duck figures and keep them out of reach of children.
Consumers who have purchased this product are encouraged to visit the Mattel website at https://service.mattel.com/uk/recall.aspx for further information and instructions on how to proceed with the recall.
It’s important to note that other figures in the set, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto, are not affected by this recall.
