In the early hours of Saturday, 20 July, Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a cabin fire on Mote Road in Maidstone. The incident was reported at 1.23am
Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and crews worked swiftly to extinguish the blaze using high-pressure hose reel jets and main jets. Support equipment, including lighting, thermal imaging cameras, and rescue tools such as the jaws of life, hydraulic spreaders, rams, and cutting tools, was also utilized during the operation.
The fire was successfully brought under control by 2.38am. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation.
A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service commented: “Our crews responded promptly and efficiently to the cabin fire on Mote Road. We are thankful that there were no injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.”
