The shooting occurred late on Monday, July 15, at approximately 11.12pm The London Ambulance Service alerted the police to reports of an injured boy. Officers, along with ambulance services and London’s Air Ambulance, swiftly responded to the scene where they found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds.
The boy was immediately treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

A Detective Inspector who is leading the investigation, said: “We are urgently appealing for witnesses who were in the Sumner Road area last night. Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial in helping us identify the perpetrator and understand the circumstances leading up to this horrific attack.”
