Officers have issued a CCTV image of a person they would like to speak to following the incident in Barden Road, which happened on Monday 8 July 2024.

It is reported that at around 12.15pm a suspect was initially seen trying a door handle of a blue Ford Fiesta. He returned shortly after and managed to enter the vehicle’s boot but was challenged by a man suspicious of his behaviour.

The suspect is alleged to have made threats with what appeared to be a wrench before he then ran from the scene. Attending patrols carried out house-to-house and CCTV enquiries and officers are now keen to speak to the man pictured.

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation should call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/113516/24. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or by using the online form.
