A man was arrested and a significant quantity of drugs were seized during a police raid in Calne last week. Officers executed a warrant at an address on London Road on Friday, June 28.
During the operation, suspected class A and B drugs were discovered inside the property. The suspect, a man in his 20s, was taken into custody on suspicion of being involved in the supply of class A drugs, possession of class B drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
The man has since been released on bail while further enquiries are conducted. Additionally, several high-value items, including designer trainers and bicycles, were seized from the address under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson commented, “Our officers are committed to tackling drug-related crime and protecting our communities. The seizure of these items and the arrest demonstrate our ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal activity.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about drug activity in their area to come forward. Residents can report their concerns by calling 101.
This operation underscores Wiltshire Police’s dedication to addressing drug-related offences and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
