Three individuals have been taken into custody after reports emerged of a stabbing on Heneage Road in Grimsby last Saturday, 15 June. The incident, around 18:50, prompted an urgent response from emergency services.
A 35-year-old man was discovered with stab wounds and was promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention. He is currently in stable condition but suffers from serious back injuries.
Detective Inspector Steve Antrobus has started to calm the community’s nerves, assuring that a dedicated team of detectives is working tirelessly to unravel the incident’s circumstances. “We believe this to be an isolated event involving acquaintances, posing no further threat to the public,” he added.
While one of the arrested individuals, aged 35, 56, and 20, has been released without charge, the other two remain on police bail as investigations proceed.
