BMW Motorrad Motorsport is revving up for an exhilarating 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) season with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team. The team is thrilled to announce the signing of top riders Toprak Razgatlioglu from Turkey and Michael van der Mark from the Netherlands, aiming to accelerate their journey to the pinnacle of WorldSBK success.
Marc Bongers, Sporting Director at BMW Motorrad Motorsport, expressed his excitement about the new lineup: “We are very pleased to have Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael van der Mark, two absolute top riders, in our factory team for the 2025 Superbike World Championship. Both have proved in recent years that they belong to the best and will form a powerful duo on our BMW M 1000 RR next season.”
Michael van der Mark is set to embark on his fifth season with BMW Motorrad Motorsport WorldSBK in 2025, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the team. “I am very, very happy and honoured to continue with BMW,” said Van der Mark. “Especially after two challenging years, it’s great that the team still trusts me. We’re seeing improvements this year, and I’m confident in our team’s work, the performance of the BMW M 1000 RR, and our ongoing development. Staying with the team gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of this season and beyond.”
Toprak Razgatlioglu, who joined the BMW Motorrad Motorsport family in the current 2024 season, is equally enthusiastic about the prospects for 2025. “It’s an honour to be part of such a prestigious team and to ride alongside Michael,” Razgatlioglu commented. “I’m eager to contribute to our shared goal of reaching the top.”
In a strategic move, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team will be the sole factory effort from BMW Motorrad Motorsport in WorldSBK starting from 2025. This follows Jürgen Röder’s decision to step down from his involvement with WorldSBK for personal reasons. Röder’s Bonovo action BMW Racing Team will consequently withdraw as a factory team from BMW.
Reflecting on his decision, Jürgen Röder shared: “I will be stepping down for personal reasons from 2025 on, and consequently, Bonovo action will withdraw as a factory team from BMW. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our loyal fans who have celebrated our successes and stood by us through tough times. Your support has been invaluable.”
As BMW Motorrad Motorsport sets its sights on a triumphant 2025 season, fans around the world eagerly anticipate what this dynamic duo will bring to the track. With Razgatlioglu and Van der Mark at the helm of the formidable BMW M 1000 RR, expectations are high for a year of record-breaking performances and podium finishes.
