In the early hours of this morning, emergency services responded to a major fire at a waste recycling centre on Nobel Road. Ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters are currently battling the blaze, which has consumed around 100 tonnes of mixed waste.
Local residents have been urged to shut doors and windows due to the thick smoke billowing from the site. The incident will impact traffic along the A1055 as crews work tirelessly to contain the flames.
The London Fire Brigade received the initial call about the fire at 03:33, prompting swift responses from fire stations in Edmonton, Enfield, Chingford, and neighbouring areas. As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities are investigating.
