London has witnessed a distressing series of stabbing incidents over a five-day period, resulting in seven people being attacked, with one fatality.
The incidents occurred between May 31 and June 4 in various locations across the city, including Woolwich, Kilburn, Isle of Dogs, and Marylebone.
In Woolwich, three males were stabbed during a reported fight on Thomas Street near Calderwood Street around 6:25 pm on May 31. They were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries. Following the incident, additional police presence was deployed, leading to the arrest of 16 individuals. Eleven people faced charges of violent disorder, while one adult was charged with possession of an offensive weapon. One individual was bailed, and three others faced no further action.
A separate stabbing incident occurred in Kilburn on June 4, where a man in his 20s was hospitalized after an attack on Kilburn High Road near Netherwood around 10:20 pm. Police investigations are ongoing, with no arrests made thus far.
Another incident unfolded in Isle of Dogs on June 1, involving a double stabbing on East Ferry Road near Manchester Road at 1:15 am. Two men, aged 45 and 37, sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital. Although their conditions were deemed non-life-threatening, both were arrested on suspicion of affray.
Tragically, a fatal stabbing occurred in Marylebone on June 4 during a fight on Edgware Road at the junction with Bell Street around 10:40 pm. A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene. While police work to inform his next of kin, three men have been arrested in connection with the incident. Reports suggested that at least one gunshot was fired during the altercation.
The Metropolitan Police are actively investigating these incidents and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
