Authorities are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of disorder among a large group of people in Sheffield. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 25, at approximately 2,25pm on Woodbourn Road with footage showing one man lying on the ground being beaten.
According to police reports, a significant altercation unfolded in the street, resulting in injuries to twenty-two individuals. Fortunately, these injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and all affected individuals remain in stable condition at local hospitals.
Appeal for Witnesses and Video Footage
Chief Superintendent Simon Wanless emphasised the importance of community cooperation in resolving the incident. He stated, “Our officers have been diligently working through the night at the scene on Woodbourn Road, conducting extensive inquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage. We strongly encourage anyone with information about the incident to come forward.”
