Authorities are expressing serious concerns for the welfare of Fatima Maria Menezes Nunes, a 57-year-old woman who has been missing from her home in Hayes since Friday, May 10. Fatima is considered vulnerable, and her family, as well as the police, are anxious for her safety.
Fatima is believed to have left her home between 6:30am and 9:30am on May 10. She was reported missing on Monday, May 13, prompting an extensive search by the police, including social media appeals to locate her.
Fatima is known to frequent several areas in South London, including Brixton, The Oval, Clapham, Harlesden, and various Portuguese shops and restaurants. She requires medication for multiple ailments and walks with a limp, making her more vulnerable.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police are concerned for the welfare of a woman who has been missing from her home in Hayes for 10 days. Fatima Maria Menezes Nunes, 57, is believed to have left her home address in Hayes between 06:30hrs – 09:30hrs on Friday, 10 May. She was reported missing on Monday, 13 May and police have since then carried out a wealth of checks to locate her, including a recent social media appeal.”
Authorities are urging anyone who has seen Fatima or has information regarding her whereabouts to contact them immediately.
“If you have seen Fatima, or have information as to her whereabouts, call 101 or post @MetCC ref CAD 3388/13 May,” the police spokesperson added.
Fatima’s disappearance has left her family deeply worried, and they are hopeful that someone in the community might have information that could help bring her home safely.
