Several sections of the M25 motorway are scheduled to close overnight this weekend to facilitate essential maintenance and repair work.

The closures, set to occur from Saturday, May 18, to Sunday, May 19, will impact various carriageways, slip roads, and link roads in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions along the motorway.

Motorists are advised to stay updated on real-time traffic information via the Traffic England website to plan their journeys accordingly.

M25 Closures – Saturday, May 18:

• Clockwise Junction 31 Entry Slip Road: Closure from 10 pm on May 18 until 5 am the following day for tunnel maintenance. Diversions will be in place via the National Highways network.
• Anticlockwise Carriageway between Junction 6 and Junction 5: Closure, including the Junction 6 entry slip, from 10 pm on Saturday until 6 am on Sunday for barrier repairs. Diversions will be routed through Local Authority roads.
• Anticlockwise Carriageway from Junction 13 to Junction 12: Closure, including link roads to the M3 Eastbound and Westbound at Junction 2, from 10 pm until 5.30 am on Sunday for resurfacing and loop repairs. Diversions will be managed by local authorities.
• Clockwise Carriageway from Junction 25 to Junction 27: Closure, including entry slip roads at Junctions 25 and 26, from 10 pm until 5.30 am on May 19 for NEAR Scheme operations.

M25 Closures – Sunday, May 19:

• Anticlockwise Carriageway from Junction 6 to Junction 5: Closure, including the Junction 6 entry slip, from 10.30 pm on May 19 until 5.30 am on Monday, May 20, for barrier repairs. Diversions will be via Local Authority roads.
• Anticlockwise Junction 15 to M4 Eastbound Junction 4B Link Road: Closure from 10.30 pm until 5.30 am on Monday for inspection of lamp column lanterns. The diversion route will be via National Highways roads.
• Anticlockwise Carriageway from Junction 27 to Junction 25: Closure, along with the Junction 26 entry slip road, from 10.30 pm until 5.30 am on Monday for maintenance work. Traffic will be diverted via National Highways and Local Authorities roads.
• Anticlockwise Carriageway from Junction 13 to Junction 12: Closure, including link roads to M3 Eastbound and Westbound Junction 2, from 10 pm until 5.30 am on May 20 for resurfacing and loop repairs.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, considering alternative routes and allowing for extra travel time during the closures.
