Detectives are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a violent incident that left a 16-year-old boy seriously injured. The attack occurred in Mabgate, Leeds, on Thursday, February 22, around 11:15. The victim and his friends encountered a man acting erratically near the Regent Street underpass.
Altercation and Assault
The suspect verbally abused one of the boys, leading to an altercation in nearby St Mary’s Street. When the victim bravely intervened, the assailant brandished a blade and slashed him across the forehead. The severity of the injury necessitated hospital treatment, including stitches. The victim and his family have granted permission to release an image of the wound to aid the investigation.

- Age: Approximately 50 years old
- Height: Approximately 5 feet 9 inches
- Appearance: White with black/grey stubble beard and balding dark hair
- Voice: Deep voice with a local accent
- Attire: Black tracksuit and black beanie hat
