Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) swiftly responded to reports of a kitchen fire at a residence on Landrail Road in Lower Halstow, Sittingbourne. The incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, prompted the deployment of two fire engines and the mobilization of firefighting personnel equipped with specialized gear.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters donned breathing apparatus and utilized high-pressure hose reel jets to combat the blaze, containing it to the kitchen area. Additionally, a high-pressure fan was employed to ventilate the property and disperse smoke, ensuring the safety of the occupants and preventing the spread of fire to neighbouring structures.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. However, as a precautionary measure, KFRS’ volunteer response team was also dispatched to provide support and assistance to the affected residents, offering reassurance and guidance during the aftermath of the fire.
