Part of the A2 is closed while emergency crews deal with a crash involving two motorbikes and a car.

The London-bound carriageway near Wilmington is shut, causing tailbacks from the M25 at the Darenth Interchange to the A2018 Old Bexley Lane at Dartford Heath.

Police officers and paramedics were called to the incident involving three vehicles at around 8am this morning (May 10).

Multiple emergency services vehicles are still at the scene.

One motorist caught up in the queues said they saw seven police cars, two fire engines and two ambulances heading towards the incident.

The air ambulance was also seen circling overhead.

National Highways officers are assisting with traffic management and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes if possible
