Police are on the lookout for two suspects after a 70-year-old man was violently robbed while withdrawing cash from an ATM, leaving him with serious injuries including a fractured skull and loss of hearing in one ear.
The incident, described by authorities as a “premeditated attack,” occurred in north-west London when the victim was approached from behind, assaulted, and knocked to the ground. While unconscious, a woman stole money from the ATM.
The victim, who was left with mobility issues and unable to work, was found on Ealing Road, Wembley, on Sunday, March 31.
In efforts to identify the suspects, the Metropolitan Police released CCTV footage showing a woman in a fur hoodie and camouflage trousers lingering near the ATM machine, followed by a discussion with another suspect, a man with a dark beard wearing a hooded jacket.
Detective Sergeant Muhamed Ahmed, from the Priority Crime Unit covering Wembley, urged the public for assistance, stating, “This was a premeditated attack which left an elderly man injured.
