A 17-year-old boy has been charged with three counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) following an incident at Birley Academy in Sheffield. The incident left three people injured.
The teenager, whose identity remains undisclosed due to legal reasons, was apprehended by officers on Wednesday morning, May 1. Reports indicate that the incident involved a sharp object at the school located in Birley Lane.
Two women in their 20s and a child sustained minor injuries during the incident, which fortunately did not necessitate hospital treatment.
In addition to the GBH charges, the 17-year-old faces an additional charge of possession of a blade or sharply pointed article on school premises. He has been remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
