Last night, a joint operation involving the British Transport Police (BTP) in Kent and Officers from Kent Police, including their drone unit, led to the arrest of a female on suspicion of trespass at Canterbury East railway station.
The incident unfolded after a train driver and a member of the public reported seeing a female walking on the tracks near the station. In response to the report, BTP officers swiftly coordinated with their counterparts from the Kent Police to locate and apprehend the individual.
The collaboration between forces proved instrumental in locating the female, whose actions posed a significant risk to both herself and others. Following the successful operation, the suspect was arrested on suspicion of trespassing on railway property.
