Police probe Hit-and-Run Incident in Cardiff

South Wales Police is urgently seeking information regarding a hit-and-run collision that occurred on Sloper Road, Cardiff. The incident, captured on CCTV, involved a speeding car mounting the pavement, colliding with a young girl, and then fleeing the scene.

Remarkably, the five-year-old victim sustained only minor injuries. However, the traumatic event understandably left her, and her family deeply shaken.

  • Date and Time: Sunday, March 24, at approximately 17:50 (during the school Easter holidays).
  • Location: Sloper Road, Cardiff.
  • Suspect Vehicle: A grey BMW.
  • Sequence of Events:
    1. The suspect vehicle overtook another vehicle at the junction of Langham Way and Sloper Road.
    2. It then veered onto the pavement, striking the young girl who was riding her scooter back from the park with her mother and brother.
