A murder investigation has been launched in Hackney after a tragic stabbing incident claimed the life of a 17-year-old male.

Upon arrival, officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service discovered the victim suffering from stab injuries.

Despite their immediate efforts, the young male succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His family has been notified, and they are receiving support from specialized officers during this difficult time.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway, overseeing policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, expressed his condolences to the victim’s family, emphasizing the police’s commitment to apprehending those responsible for the senseless act of violence.
In response to the incident, cordons have been established in Hackney Road to facilitate forensic examinations of the crime scene. Additionally, an extensive investigation has been launched, drawing on resources from various departments within the Metropolitan Police.
Chief Superintendent Conway reassured the local community of additional police patrols in the Shoreditch area, urging anyone with concerns or information related to the incident to approach officers for assistance.
