Seventh Teenager Charged with Murder of Deshaun James Tuitt in Islington

In a recent development following a media appeal, detectives have charged a seventh teenager with the murder of 15-year-old Deshaun James Tuitt in Islington, a tragic incident that occurred in August 2022.

The 16-year-old suspect was apprehended on Friday, February 16, and subsequently appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court this morning. His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, at the Central Criminal Court.

Deshaun’s grieving family has been notified of the latest developments as investigative efforts persist to locate another individual whom officers wish to speak with. An updated image of this person has been released today.

The fatal stabbing of Deshaun occurred in Highbury Fields, N5, shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

This latest charge adds to the six other boys who have previously appeared in court in connection with the murder: [A] aged 16; [C] aged 15; [D] aged 15; [E] aged 16; [F] aged 17; and [G] aged 16.
