An alarming incident unfolded at Latchmere Recreation Ground in Kingston, as children fell victim to an unleashed and unmuzzled dog described as an “XL bully,” prompting a swift response from law enforcement authorities.
Authorities were alerted to the distressing scene at Burns Road’s Latchmere Recreation Ground at approximately 11:30 am on February 2, following reports of a vicious dog attack on a group of children by a concerned witness.
Upon arrival, police found the children with minor injuries sustained during the attack. However, both the dog and its owner had absconded from the park before law enforcement could intervene.
The unleashed nature of the dog, coupled with its lack of a muzzle, has exacerbated concerns among local residents about public safety within the park. In response, law enforcement officials have reassured the community that every effort is being made to locate the dog and its owner swiftly.
Describing the owner as a black male aged between 25-35, authorities provided a detailed physical description, indicating that he was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, a black Canada goose jacket with a white fur hood, and black Nike trainers. The dog, described as grey with tan features, remains at large, heightening anxieties among residents.
