London Overground Strike: Affected Stations and Service Disruptions
Smoke and Flames Erupt on the Southbound Track Inside Euston Underground Station, Halting All Services

A 48-hour strike by the RMT union is set to disrupt London Overground services, leading to station closures and significant alterations to service schedules. The strike, stemming from a pay dispute, is the first of two planned strikes, with further action scheduled for Monday, March 4, and Tuesday, March 5.

Stations directly affected by the strike, including Haggerston, Hoxton, Rotherhithe, Shadwell, Shoreditch High Street, and Wapping, will remain closed throughout the strike. Additionally, some stations may remain open but could be unstaffed during this period.

Service disruptions will extend to certain routes, with no service available before 8 am or after 6 pm on specific lines. Affected routes include Gospel Oak to Barking, Stratford to Richmond/Clapham Junction, and Highbury & Islington to Clapham Junction/West Croydon/Crystal Palace/New Cross.

Londoners who rely on these routes are advised to seek alternative transportation options and anticipate additional travel time.

Customers requiring assisted travel are strongly encouraged to pre-book assistance before their journey, as staff availability may be limited at stations.

Trish Ashton, Transport for London’s (TfL) Director of Rail and Sponsored Services, expressed concerns over the strike’s impact on customers and urged the RMT and Arriva Rail London to collaborate towards a resolution.

For the latest travel updates and information, commuters are advised to check the TfL website or utilize the TfL Go app. While London Underground, Elizabeth Line, DLR, London Trams, and London buses will operate as usual during the strike, commuters should expect potential overcrowding on these services.
