Kent Police have released an image as part of their investigation into a series of criminal damage incidents involving postboxes in Dartford.
Multiple reports have been received by authorities regarding the vandalism of postboxes between Wednesday, January 31, and Monday, February 5, 2024. The majority of these incidents occurred in the Temple Hill area and surrounding roads.
Inspector Siobhan Rowe, of the Dartford Community Safety Unit, expressed the police’s commitment to resolving the matter: “Our officers have been working closely with the Royal Mail after several postboxes were covered in paint. We are now issuing an image of a person who may be able to assist with our enquiries.
Despite the individual’s face being concealed in the image, Inspector Rowe emphasized that they are wearing distinctive clothing, and the police are hopeful that someone may recognize them and come forward with information.
Authorities are urging drivers with dashcams and residents with private CCTV to review their footage for any potential evidence that could aid the investigation.
Anyone who may have information relevant to the incidents is encouraged to contact Kent Police on 01474 366149, quoting reference 46/19948/24. Alternatively, individuals can reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or submit information via the online form on their website.
