Three individuals are scheduled to face court proceedings after being charged with the importation of cocaine into the United Kingdom. The accused individuals are identified as Jose Manuel Perez De La Cruz (37), Ronny Sierra Guerrero (34), and Nathanael Colado-Jiminez (30).
The trio will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 31 January. Jose Manuel Perez De La Cruz resides in Thomson House, Beckway; Ronny Sierra Guerrero is of no fixed address, and Nathanael Colado-Jiminez resides on Western Avenue, Acton.
The charges stem from the interception of two shipments of bananas arriving at Portsmouth International Port from the Dominican Republic. The seizures occurred on Saturday, 20 January, and Friday, 26 January. UK Border Force officers meticulously searched the shipments, revealing concealed cocaine within the cardboard packaging.
Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime officers conducted exhaustive investigations, working ceaselessly to gather additional evidence. Their efforts led them to an address in Acton, where a subsequent warrant operation resulted in the arrest of the occupants—Jose Manuel Perez De La Cruz, Ronny Sierra Guerrero, and Nathanael Colado-Jiminez.
