Staffordshire Police are seeking public assistance after a violent incident unfolded in a car park on Saxon Mill Lane, Tamworth, in the early hours of Saturday, January 27.
Witnesses reported a heated argument between two individuals inside separate vehicles just before 04.00 GMT. The situation escalated when a passenger in one of the cars wielded an axe, striking the other vehicle before hastily leaving the scene.
Shortly after the axe incident, a group of assailants from one of the cars targeted a man, subjecting him to an assault.
Responding to the incident, armed officers converged on the scene, initiating a thorough search supported by a helicopter from the National Police Air Service (NPAS). The victim, subsequently identified, was interviewed by police officers to provide an account of the events.
