Police are hunting witnesses after a stabbing spree on england/england/england/worthing/”>worthing/”>worthing/”>Worthing seafront this afternoon (Tuesday, October 1).
Knife-Wielding Teens Chase Victim Along Promenade
At around 1.17pm, officers rushed to Marine Parade following reports that three teenagers – one armed with a knife – were chasing another teen along the promenade.
An 18-year-old man was slashed in the hand. Passersby rushed to help before he was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening.
Suspects Flee West Wearing Black Hoodies
The three suspects fled west along Marine Parade. Witnesses describe them as white males in black hoodies.
Sussex Police have boosted patrols in the area as the investigation intensifies.
Police Plea: Come Forward With Info or Footage
Detective Inspector Neil Walker of Worthing CID said: “We’re in the early stages of our investigation and urgently need anyone with information to come forward. If you saw the incident or anything suspicious around that time, please call 101 or report online quoting serial 615 of 01/10.”
