Fire Erupts at Abandoned Carlton House Hotel
Emergency crews rushed to the former Carlton House Hotel on Abingdon Street at 4.26pm on Sunday, September 27, after a blaze broke out in the empty building. Firefighters battled the flames for hours to bring the situation under control.
CCTV Released as Police Investigate Cause
Police are probing the cause of the fire and have now released CCTV footage showing a person they believe may hold crucial information. A Blackpool Police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise the person in the image? We want to speak to him as part of our enquiries into the Carlton House Hotel fire.”
The largely damaged building thankfully resulted in no injuries. Officers are urging anyone who recognises the individual or has details about the incident to come forward immediately.
