Shoplifting Duo Convicted After Bexhill Crime Wave

Two men have been convicted following a spate of thefts in the Bexhill area, impacting several local stores.
Between 3 March and 18 July, officers responded to reports of 15 thefts, targeting various items at Co-op on Seabourne Road, One Stop on Sea Road, and One Stop on Turkey Road. Acting on intelligence, police arrested Ashley Kehoe and Tamsin Gregory on 19 July.
Kehoe, 37, of no fixed address, was charged with 13 counts of shoplifting. Gregory, 35, of Edmonton Road, Bexhill, faced 11 counts of shoplifting. The stolen goods amounted to hundreds of pounds worth of stock.
Both men pleaded guilty at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 20 July. They have been remanded in prison and are scheduled to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 9 August for sentencing.
