Vicious Wind Uproots Tree, Injures Six in Horsham Incident

A sudden and violent gust of wind wreaked havoc on Guildford Road in Horsham, leading to an incident where a tree was uprooted and crashed onto a moving van and a bus. The unexpected event occurred at around 12:50 pm, leaving six people injured and causing significant disruption.
Eyewitnesses described the moment as terrifying, with the tree falling without warning, directly impacting the vehicles in its path. The impact was severe enough to injure six individuals, necessitating immediate medical attention.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) was quick to respond to the emergency. A spokesperson for SECAmb detailed their response, stating, “We were called to reports of an incident involving a tree falling and hitting a van and a bus in Guildford Road, Horsham, reported to us at approximately 12:50 pm today.”
The aftermath of the incident saw Guildford Road closed to traffic to facilitate the recovery of the damaged vehicles and the removal of the fallen tree, causing considerable traffic delays in the surrounding area. Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes as the cleanup operation was underway.

London Bus Tour Operator’s Bus Damaged in Collision with Leaning Tree

A London bus tour operator bus has been damaged after it hit a leaning tree in Holborn.
Just after 9am on Monday, February 26, a Tootbus hit a low-hanging true on Kingsway.
The front section of the roof suffered structural damage, causing parts of it to collapse inward.
The following photos show the bus after it pulled over.
Managing Director of Tootbus UK Gavin Brooking said: “The accidental collision took place this morning (February 26).
“Fortunately, our driver was uninjured, and the bus was otherwise unoccupied.
“We have already launched an internal investigation into the incident and will be taking steps to ensure our safety standards continue to be upheld.
“We have also reported the incident to all relevant authorities.”
The Metropolitan Police declined to comment.

Paramedics Respond to Fatal Medical Incident in Hollingbury

A tragic event in Hollingbury, Brighton, on the evening of Saturday, February 24, as emergency services were mobilised to a medical emergency at the junction of Carden Avenue and Dale Drive. The incident, occurring around 6:15 pm, saw a coordinated response from both the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and Sussex Police.
Upon arrival, paramedics from SECAmb immediately administered life-saving first aid to a 60-year-old male who was in critical condition. Despite their rapid and skilled efforts, the man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police provided a statement on the incident, highlighting the quick action taken by emergency services. “Emergency Services were called to reports of a medical incident on the junction Dale Drive and Carden Avenue, Brighton at around 6.15 pm on Saturday (24 February). Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The police have confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been informed of the tragic event.
They also stated that there are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death,
