Police close Southampton Itchen Bridge

Police have  closed off the Itchen Bridge in Southampton this evening. Officers  closed the bridge  just after 7pm  after they  received  a  call from  a  distressed  driver who had driven over the bridge and  seen a person up on the railing. Police cars are blocking both sides of the Bridge to both traffic and people on foot. Officers are directing people away from the area.
